By using girlingo you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use it.

1. What girlingo is

girlingo is a practice and education game about conversation, confidence and dating. It’s entertainment and general education.

It isn’t professional advice. It isn’t therapy, counseling, medical or legal advice, or a substitute for any of them. If you’re struggling with your mental health, please talk to a professional or a support line.

The characters you practice with are fictional. They’re written characters and generated text, not real people or profiles of real people, and nothing they say is a fact about anyone.

girlingo doesn’t know how anyone actually feels. Anything it says about another person is an observation about a message or a photo, not knowledge about a human being.

2. Who can use it

You must be 17 or older.

3. Your account

You don’t need an account to play. Your progress lives in your browser, and if you clear your browser data or use Profile → Start over, it’s gone. We can’t restore it because we never had a copy.

To buy Pro you sign in with your email or with Google or Apple, through Clerk. Pro belongs to that account, so it works in any browser you sign in on. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens on your account.

4. Screenshots and other people

Wingman reads conversations you give it, which contain other people’s words. You agree that:

• you’ll only upload conversations you’re genuinely part of
• you won’t upload anyone’s private messages to expose, harass, humiliate or track them
• you’re responsible for having the right to share what you upload

You keep ownership of anything you put into girlingo. You give us only the permission needed to process it and give you the read back. We don’t use your conversations to train anything, and we don’t keep them.

5. Fair use

Please don’t:

• use girlingo to harass, deceive, stalk, coerce or manipulate anyone
• try to produce sexual content involving minors, threats, or anything unlawful. Attempts may end your access
• reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or overload the service, or try to get around its limits
• present girlingo’s output as professional advice to someone else

6. Paying for Pro

girlingo is free to try. The first lesson, the drills and Selfie Check are free. Pro opens every lesson, lets you send messages in practice chats, and makes Wingman unlimited. Anything you’ve finished stays finished, and your progress is yours whether or not you pay.

Pro is sold through RevenueCat, with payment taken by Stripe, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price of each is shown before you buy, and you’re charged when you confirm.

If you subscribe:

• it renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel
• you can cancel any time from Profile → Manage subscription or the link in your receipt email, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for
• clearing your browser data doesn’t cancel a subscription

If you buy lifetime, you pay once. It doesn’t renew and there’s nothing to cancel.

Refunds: if something went wrong, email us within 14 days of a charge and we’ll sort it out. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, nothing here limits it.

7. Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro while you have a paid period remaining, we’ll refund the unused part.

8. No warranty

girlingo is provided “as is.” We don’t promise it’ll be uninterrupted or error-free, that its reads are correct, or that it’ll produce any particular outcome in your life. Conversations with real people aren’t predictable, and no app makes them so.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything arising from how you acted on something girlingo said. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can’t be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always here, with the date at the top. Using girlingo after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
